Many parents believe that be keeping the reins in their hands, they allow kids to grow in a best possible way that is deemed appropriate by the society. However, not letting them off leash may not serve you well in the long run.
Research suggests that children should be able to have a little freedom in making their choices. Whether it’s a choice about choosing playground structures, or picking out what to eat for dinner, children need to be involved with various decisions in order to understand their importance in the house. In addition, children need to understand the importance of analyzing the pros and cons of a situation before making a decision.
Letting kids decide for themselves allows them to be more independent in thought, which helps them understand responsibility, the importance of being independent, and the ability to make good choices, and learn from the bad choices. When children have a certain autonomy in everyday decisions, they begin to learn the pros and cons making certain decisions that significantly impact their life.
Comprehending the value of sound decision making comes with time and practice, and by letting your kids have the independence of decision making, you are preparing them for the future. Research suggests that children who have autonomy at home are more confident in the classroom. These kids also show improved results in academic endeavors.

How to Get Rid Of The Gaming Addiction In Children?

Gaming addiction is something all parents have to deal with. If you are one of those parents who find it hard to detach their kids from the screen based devices, then this article is for you. I don’t promise to give a sure-fire technique that will make gaming in the backseat for your child, but I will, however, talking about some tips that can help you find a balance between physical and sedentary activities.

So Your Kid Loves The Screen…
You don't generally need to wheeze each time you see your youngster with a gaming comfort. Kids ought to be permitted to have a few hours alone with gaming gadgets. Here's the reason why: advanced amusements permit children to construct solid spatial and memory aptitudes that can't be earned in any other way. Also, youngsters create more keen reflexes as they attempt to battle the warlords. The little achievements connected with the screen recreations can permit children to increase self-assurance and confidence, the two most crucial aptitudes for a successful life. The key is to discover a harmony between the two components (screen recreations and physical exercises). Most folks neglect to find that balance, which altogether affects the physical prosperity of their kids. For the most part, the sound action plan consolidates around 2 - 3 hours of physical and 1.5 – 2 hours of other recreational exercises that can incorporate TV time and other recreations.

What to do?
The inactive methodology towards life is the primary guilty party for huskiness and its connected illnesses. Here are a couple of things that you need to keep in mind:- Take advantage of the supper talks: It is vital that you sit with your youngster consistently and ask about his day. This fortifies your bond with your kid, as well as permits you to recognize the unpredictable activities in his life that may be the reason for different issues.
- Evaluate your youngster's scholarly activities consistently. Screen his homework and test exercises and perceive how well he's doing.
- Attend guardian-teacher meetings. These gatherings are the most ideal approach to keep an eye on your youngster's exercises on the school playground equipment and other academic exercises at school. Clashes ordinarily happen on the play areas, and by finding out about your kid's everyday activities you can verify that he is splendidly equipped for taking care of disparities at school.
- Exercise together: There is no better way to get your kid off the couch than family exercise. Commercial playground equipment and community playgrounds are one of the best places to start. If you cannot afford to drive down to the community play center, then utilize your backyard. Your personal space is just as good as any playground, all you need to do is to have a creative idea to use that space.

3 Ways to Discipline Your Kids without Being the Bad Guy
“Do not train a child to learn by force or harshness; but direct them to it by what amuses their minds, so that you may be better able to discover with accuracy the peculiar bent of the genius of each.”
― Plato
None of us mastered the art of parenting before we drove down to the parent-ville, which is why we sometimes fail at things we think we are doing the best. There is no plain sailing in parenting, especially when it comes to disciplining your children; you will always be struggling with new behavior changes and tantrums. Many parents utilize hard core methods of parenting that make their children cringe away from them. We all want to discipline our kids without being the bad guy. So to help you discipline your kids the easy way, I have assembled a little list of sure-fire ways that can help you strike without leaving a mark.
1. Be a Companion
Have you ever analyzed your parenting style? Parenting style matters a lot when it comes to taming a wild child. Children would rather listen to the friendly voice that tells them “it’s OK, try not to do such a thing in the future” in contrast to the voice that threatens them: “you do this again, you lose your gaming privileges”.Choose a gentle tone to explain to your children the consequences of indulging in practices that are considered immoral or out of the line. Be as straightforward as possible. Let your children know about your troubles at work; share your everyday activities with them and hear about their day. When you know each other better, you bond well and develop trust. The better understanding you have with your children, the easier it will be to control their misdemeanor. For example, you can try to get to know your child more while accompanying him during his play around an outdoor playground equipment.
Children should be aware of what’s OK and what’s not through a well-structured discipline method. And, no, punishment and reward system is not one of those methods if that’s what you are thinking. Although punishment does work, but it leaves a negative impact. Avoid using incentives for good behavior; they cripple your child’s ability to control his demeanor in the long run. Instead, talk to them as a friend.
2. Find The Culprit
Do you remember the last time you accompanied your child to his favorite playground or took him to play with his favorite commercial playground equipment? Children crave parental attention. Tantrums and meltdowns are sometimes nothing but an attempt to garner your attention. You have to find out what’s bothering your child. It could be school problems or a fight with the sibling. There are a lot of reasons that can lead to ‘child stress,’ which eventually leads to bad behavior. So, find the cause and nip it in the bud.Blaming your children without knowing the cause can lead to serious problems. Your children want you to understand what they are going through. Therefore, learn more about their problems before you sentence them to two weeks of no gaming.
3. Be respectable
Respect always equals respect. Therefore, be respectable to your children no matter how bad their conduct gets. Children can be impossible sometimes, but remember that they are only children; they don’t know better. Punishment can not only make their conduct worse, but can also make you lose your respect and love. Treating them the right way can strengthen your bond and allow you to tame the inner monster that triggers the bad behavior.A polite message always impacts more than a harsh scold. Children might not listen right away, but eventually, they will understand how they are supposed to behave. Children are like delicate flowers that require careful nurturing. So, do not manhandle them; be patient and watch them blossom.

Did you Catch Your Child Lying? How to Deal with the Sneaky Behavior
Sneaky behavior in children can be the most troublesome things for parents to handle. Dishonesty is one of the most important virtues and if your child chooses to lie over and over again, it is an indication that you have failed as a parent. However, all is not lost; there is always something that can be done about the sneaky attitude. This article will explore how you can detect when your child is lying and take proper measures to eliminate the behavior.
The first and the most important thing for parents are to understand where the sneaky behavior comes from. Refrain from grounding your child or sentencing him for a week of punishment before understanding why he did what he did. Childhood is a messed up age when hormones and the environment do not exactly resound well with each other. Children can use lying as a way to get out of a circumstance that they believe is out of their control. In most serious situations, children use lying as a way to avoid repercussion or punishment.
Research shows that children who have a friendlier bond with their parents seldom portray a sly attitude as compared to children who usually feel pressured by their parents. If your child is afraid to share something with you, there is a pretty good chance that he will keep the important details to himself. Therefore, understand what’s making your child engage in such a behavior and then try to fix it.
You are probably aware of the common saying “time heals.” It really does. As mentioned above, childhood can be a messed up stage for children; most of the time children are not sure how they want to handle a certain situation and they seek refuge in lying. This kind of behavior can usually be observed in toddlers who are exposed to negative peer groups at school. However, over the time, children can learn the consequences of lying and eliminate the behavior on their own. So, let the time heal before you take any serious action.
If you think that your child is not going to shed the sneaky behavior, then it’s time for you to have the talk. Parent to child conversations are a great way to talk to your child about his behavior. A good way to do this is to engage your child with his favorite outdoor playground equipment and try to have the conversation. Avoid confronting your child; always approach the situation in a friendly manner so your child does not feel like he’s being judged for what he did. Try explaining to your child the consequences of lying and why it is moral for people to engage in devious behavior.
A growing body of research suggests that active children who regularly participate in Preschool playground equipment activities usually have stronger character than those who pursue a sedentary approach towards life. If the above-mentioned ways fail to work, analyze your relationship with your child and see what’s causing the problem.
